I need some advice on deciding what saddle(s) to look at/purchase. I have been riding in a Robbie Phillips on my main horse and although it fit him initially, as he has filled out I am needing to go back on the saddle hunt again before spring/summer. Im not against another Robbie since I have been happy with the quality of it but this horse has been hard to fit and he's going to be my long time horse so I'm game for paying a premium for the right saddle for him and myself and have considered getting the mold from Roohide and getting one custom made for him but I've never ridden in one so nervous about how I'll like it and I don't know anyone with one around where I live to get the chance to ride in it. Are there any other companies that offer this type of custom fit with a mold?

As for my other horse, I've had him in a Masters but defintely prefer the Robbie's over Masters and I think overall I'm just not a fan of the lightweight brands, just a personal preference and nothing against the brand itself.

As for me, I'm fairly new to barrels (hence not having a ton of experience with different brands) after growing up doing jumpers and eventing if that helps narrow down saddles that I may love or hate depending on how it sits a rider.

Thanks for the help!

The Burns saddle team does a great job of fitting your horse and the saddles are well made.

Beg, borrow, and whatever to try saddles on your horse and ride them yourself. Buying without trying is an easy way to lose $3-5k.
