I am wondering people's thoughts/experiences with Metallic Cat bred horses for barrels? The Good bad ugly ? Wondering why we aren't seeing more? What are they crossed with if you have experienced or seen them?

thank you for the input :

I don't have a Metallic Cat horse personally right now but I love running my High Brow Cat/Playgun/Mr Sun Olena horses. Cow crossed on speed usually turns out amazing, just cow alone can be slow on a larger pattern. I have a lot of reject cutting horses and they are 1D in a small arena.

I think it's an amazing outcross people just need to see it be successful more before they believe in it...

I believe that Dena Kirkpatrick ran a Bet Hesa Cat at the Pink Buckle for the 6666 Ranch.  Have to look up how it did.

We are going to give one a try.  We have a 2yr old by A Streak of Rooster out of a daughter of Metallic Cat.  She has 60 days on her and has been the smartest and most easy to get along with baby we have ever had.  I think she was born broke and just needs to be shown what we want her to do.  If her athletic ability matches how hard she trys, she will be hard to beat.  Super excited to see what she becomes.

The Metallic Cat's havce excelled in everything they've done, so its just a matter of time before they do the same in the barrel pen.
