Location: Kansas | Not sure if I can claim old timer status maybe ol lurker status (didn't post much but enjoyed reading / learning from those with more knowledge). I still pop in to shop horses and trailers. Seems like few are here since FB and all those "know it alls", but I get tired of all the drama there. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Some of the BEST advice I ever have gotten was from this forum back in the day!!! fatchance saved my life with her post about keeping their feet moving, and Diane Guinn got me thru a tough hurdle iwth the same little mare on the pattern a few years later. Both lessons I use to this day some 15 + years later. |

YES---there was a lot of knowledge on here every day. Sometimes you had to wade through the BS to find it but I sure learned a lot. There are many people I still message from the old BHW days. |

I can't believe my eyes - how the heck are you? I still have the dish towel with the dogs that were so beautifully embroidered that you gave me in my kitchen. How the heck are you? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I actually bought a gelding from photos from Diane Guinn about 5 years ago based on her word and the trust I had formed in her from this forum. I remember too wrapn3 or something like that breaking down runs during the NFR for us, it was awesome. I actually joined this forum after Hurricane Katrina when I couple people came together and sent a helicoptor in to save one of the forum members who was caught in high water, the comaraderie was something special. |

| I check in about daily, except when I'm on the road showing. I still throw an opinion out now and then, and love to discuss breeding stuff with those that breed (MB!). |

Location: OH | FUNNY---I still remember the very first time I ever commented on a post. A gal was complaining about the ground (some things never change) at a rodeo and how horses were slipping and falling before she ran. I said---why didn't you just turn out rather than risking hurting your horse. Gal goes off on me--her horse is everything to her and she would never risk hurting it blah blah blah---then tells me to......go back to breeding my Sun Frost horses that cannot outrun a fat porcupine. HOW'D THAT AGE ??? BAHAHAHAHAHAHA |

Location: Kansas | Me too. Used to be so much fun and I wish I could remember the name of the person who suggested a sauerkraut poultice (seriously) for a bad open wound to my husband's heel horse (hind leg)......worked like magic and this horse was ready for the 2009 USTRC Finals at Oklahoma City where he won a saddle and a lot of money. Won't say it wasn't a messy process but wow did it work. |
