Siler Lining has #31 Moody Mare and #14 Mare Fertility.  My mare was being such a witch!  I have never delt with a mare like this before, so after a chat with Mickey from SLH, I tried the Mare Moods one.  Nope.  She got a bit worse, so I switched her to the mare fertility one.  BINGO!  Within a week, she was a new horse. My expectations were far exceeded!  She was no longer wringing her tail and acting painful, no more nasty attitude (the behavioral stuff, anyway), she still ahd her winning edge AND she was much more relaxed.

I am a tightwad and a skeptic, but I had heard good things, so I tried it.  They come in one pound bags and last about 55 days, for $56+ shipping.  Kinda spendy, but IMO worth EVERY PENNY!

I would suggest calling Mickey at Silverlining herbs or e-mailing him with your question about the gelding.  It's good to hear the herbs helped the mare, the different combinations I've used have given great results and I've used several.  I get positive comments on our horses' overall condition.  Yes, the herbs seem spendy but are they really, when they are absorbed so well.

Yep- Mickey was really helpful (he to

ld me either the #31 or #14 would work, I just had to figure out which one), he was nice and took a lot of time with me.

I have my mare on the #14 and the #10 Training mix and I get comments all the time about how great she looks.  One girl walked behind her and touched her ip to move her over and said, "OMG, you're horse's coat feels like rabbit fur!"  She asked about what I was feeding and I think called SLH.  Pretty cool when your horse's North Dakota winter coat is silky and shiny!  She looked slicked off even with a full coat.  I am thrilled.

Im glad to hear everyone is so happy with Silver Lining's Moody Mare. The other mare formula is called mare fertility and it is very similar to the moody mare but it helps them grow a folicle when being settled for breeding and soothes their hormones(Ithink Im gonna go take some now!) If you guys and gals need anymore info, feel free to holler at me!

I tried #31 Moody Mare and it most definitely did not work for me.  When my mare came in, she was worse than she's ever been--refused to put her butt down to turn, and had to have her attitude adjusted for throwing tantrums. (her back gets stiff and sensitive at that time of the month)  My older gelding was really attracted to it though, so I've been feeding the rest of it to him and he stayed more relaxed and focused when I ran him.  He actually WALKED into the alley way; this is a horse known for running over gate men.

When I talked to Toni about her last summer, she recommended something with Dong Quai and Chasteberry in it, so now I'm trying Psycho Sally (which is ironic because my mare's name is Sally Sue LOL).  She is eating this much better than the moody mare, seems to actually like it, so that's a good first sign.  She'll be coming back in in about a week, so I'll see then how much it helps.

THe Moody mare made my mare worse, too.  I REALLY had a hard time getting her to eat it.  Now I have her on SLH #14 mare fertility (I have NO plans to breed her) and she snarfs it down and is a COMPLETELY different horse.  MUCH better!  No more pain/TOM attitude.

Have any of you ever tried "mare magic". I have my mare on it and I can't believe the turn around that she has done. She went from being a cranky mare with a bad attitude to a horse that most people think is a gelding now. You can get it a horse health usa. com and it helps them focus and calms them. I can't believe the difference it has made in my mare. I won't take her off of it. I saw results only after 2 weeks of feeding it too her. You pay 22.00 which includes shipping for 2 months.
