Location: N. Texas | Well, with all of this going on in Austin, I thought now might be the time to post this- does anyone actually live there or in a place where I could keep a horse for a night? I have to take my fiancee's calf horse down to Corpus Christi, and I am meeting a friend on the night of the 12th, and would love to have a SAFE place to put his horse- does anyone have any ideas? What about the fairgrounds? Thanks! |

Location: N. Texas | Thank you for the help so far. I thought the angels were cute, I guess you need to have prayers when you go down to Austin, huh? I actually have a meeting down there, so will be down in Austin all day, so thats why I was trying to find a place for his horse. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks! |

Location: N. Texas | Thanks! Is the civic center you are talking about right off of 1-35 on the East side of the road? If so, I remember coming back from Corpus about 3 years ago, and being so tired I just pulled off there- it was really nice- but I thought that was farther south? I do know the gates weren't locked, if you have any more info. let me know- thanks again! |

Location: Texas | I would highly recommend you call the Elgin Equine Clinic at (512) 285-3395. It is in Elgin, which is about 20 miles east of Austin on Hwy 290. Beautiful equine clinic with great stalls, runs or turn outs, which ever you would prefer. They have a place you can leave your trailer while you go in to Austin too. There is also the Manor Downs Race Track in Manor, between Elgin and Austin. But I don't know who you would contact. Personally, I would trust the vet clinic much more than a race track. Hope this helps. |

Location: Georgetown, TX | I live right off IH 35 north of Georgetown...20 minutes north of Austin and about 40 minutes from the airport, not during rush hours!(and if there are no wrecks on IH 35!)PM me if you still need a place to stall your horse. |
